Visionaries

Now, you might wonder why it’s called SykesBot 21784, but we can’t really explain that. In fact, we don’t know, except that 21784 is the zip code where we operate, we’re part of the Sykesville Online blog network in Carroll County, Maryland, and we’re attached to Sykesville Design. The Bot part and the robots are more or less, well we bought these robots at a train store, they’re from Japan, and we thought they were cool.

And the words SykesBot 21784 appeared to one of us in a vision. We’re visionaries, you see.

So what’s the point of the blog? Who knows? Who cares? Maybe it’s to express ourselves. We’re interested in technology, marketing, design, writing, social media, the web, but more importantly, as Anton Ego says in “Ratatouille,” providing some fresh perspective.

After reading a lot of overheated puffery about your new cook, you know what I’m craving? A little perspective. That’s it. I’d like some fresh, clear, well-seasoned perspective. Can you suggest a good wine to go with that?

Well, we don’t actually know anything about wine, but whatever we do, we’ll try to keep the overheated puffery to a minimum and hopefully have some fun in the process.
